COVID Update - October 9

We are here. We are open. We are SAFE!

Today the Ontario government made some announcements to roll back to Phase 2 for certain hotspots in the province that are close to us: Peel & Toronto. Sadly this does affect our fellow gym owners in those areas, but it does not affect us at FirePower. We remain open as we have for the past 3 months.

We are continuing to operate following all HALTON Public Health Guidelines, but are taking some extra precautionary measures. Here's what is happening inside our facility:

  • Our classes continue to operate with a MAX of 10. Please continue to follow protocol as you have been doing: no access to class before 5 min prior to start time, disinfect everything you've used, and all your own belongings need to be with you at all times.
  • Masks are MANDATORY inside our building. Forgot yours? Grab a complimentary one at the front desk.
  • Our equipment and floors are cleaned with chlorine-dioxide approximately 12-15x per day.
  • We are Fresh Start® Certified. This means our premises has been Disinfected and Protected by Fresh Start® Environment’s trained technicians.

The gym will be closed Sunday & Monday of Thanksgiving Weekend as we bring in a team of professionals to do a major blitz of spraying. This is a big investment in preventative protection and goes WAY beyond our daily cleaning & weekly fogging. If you'd like more details, scan the QR code on our front door or click here to learn more.

We also understand that as the province slowly shuts down hotspots, that it may cause some people concern for being in public spaces with groups of people. If you are a member and currently attending group classes, please feel free to discuss with us the options for private training with a coach, remote training from home, or small group training with up to 4 of your bubble-people.  For details, email tonya@teamfirepower.com

WE ARE FIREPOWER STRONG!

Our hearts are with all the small businesses who are affected by this latest round of closures. We understand the depths of stress and heartbreak they are feeling. Should this be necessary for our Halton Region, WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER!   During the last shutdown, we gave everything we had, linked arms with our members and held on so we all had a place to come back to. IF this happens again, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN! You have our word that we will fight tooth and nail to keep this ship afloat, using every resource we have.

Today we are sadly missing our annual Thanksgiving Dinner with everyone. It's a sacrifice we are all making for the greater good of our community. We hope you all have a safe and peaceful weekend with your families at home together. NOTHING IS STRONGER THAN FAMILY.

In health,

Team FirePower
