Honour. Remember.
Support the families.
Firefighter Appreciation Day is a charity fitness challenge honouring the firefighters, police and paramedics who run toward what the rest of us run from.
A day built on
honour & brotherhood.
George and Andrea Savard founded the Canadian Firefighter Appreciation Day & charity fitness challenge in 2009 — to raise awareness of the physical and mental demands firefighters carry, and the teamwork and trust the job runs on.
Held for a decade at the Milton Fall Fair and the FirePower campus, the event now takes place every 9/11 anniversary weekend: community workouts performed in 150 sets of full bunker gear, masks and air tanks — a small taste of the weight our first responders carry.
Every year it raises money for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which honours the fallen and supports their families. To date, the FirePower community has raised over $75,000.

Proudly supporting the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation — honouring the fallen, standing with their families.
